Trail Ride Accommodation
Our rides pass though a wild and remote part of Scotland, where villages may consist of only a handful of houses, and there may be many, many miles between one hotel and the next. Rooms in this vast wilderness are few and far between! Due to this fact, our accommodation en-route is varied. We may stay in a top quality hotel one night and a cosy B&B the next. You can be assured that all of our accommodation is clean, comfortable and offers a warm highland welcome! The food offered is hearty, wholesome and delicious – just what you need at the end of a long day in the saddle! Wherever possible we try to provide en-suite facilities, although in some of the more remote B&B’s facilities may have to be shared. If you require sole-occupancy, this can normally be provided, but will be subject to a sole occupancy charge, which will vary from ride to ride, so please check for details. Our rides include all meals in the cost – a hearty breakfast
to set you up for the day, a packed lunch for the trail and an evening
meal. However, drinks with your evening meal are not included
(although water is provided!) and must be paid for yourself. It
should also be noted that some of the smaller establishments do not
have a drinks license. This does not mean you cannot have a bottle
of wine or a glass or beer with your meal – it just means that
you have to bring your own! As we may be miles from the nearest
shop, and carrying glass bottles on horseback is not a good idea, we
can take your orders in advance, and they will be waiting for you at
your accommodation at the end of the day. Incidentally this
service is not just available for drink! We can, within reason,
collect any little essentials you may require, and have them waiting
for you when you finish your days ride. Smoking – It is now illegal to smoke in public places in Scotland, and all Hotels, B&B’s and restaurants will now require you to smoke outside.
